Editable drafts stay drafts
AI-created replies are stored with editable To, CC, BCC, subject and body fields. The model has no tool that can call the owner-only approval action.
Approval freezes what will happen
Recipients, content, attachments, signature and mutation targets are captured in an immutable proposal so later edits cannot silently change an already reviewed action.
Ambiguous delivery does not auto-retry
If SMTP delivery becomes uncertain, Mailroom locks the attempt for owner investigation rather than risking a duplicate email through an automatic retry.
